I'll second the recommendation for LibreCAD. It's a great product and fairly easy to learn and use.

Can someone advice how to export a file as bmp. The system claims to be able to do it but mine, (old and newly downloaded) refuses to do it as it is an unregistered copy. Why don't you use the license number provided on this board to register your copy. I was finally able to install it on win7-32 b...

As far as I know, all the GIS technology that is developed by TRIUS, is sold through the Undertow company. You may want to contact TRIUS directly and see if they have those files somewhere. I haven't talked to them in years, but they used to be good about customer support. If they have them, I'm sure they'll make them available to you.
