Re: Random - TI59 Web Site and DEC/VAX/PDP

Since I saw a bunch of people here talking about emulators of old calculators/computers (I don't know why), here is a link with emulators and other good stuff about PDPs, and VAX systems.

Re: DCWIN.EXE Installed under WINE on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit

This is unbelievable. So, after all these years, DCWIN is still running on a newer device? It's a testament of the fact the bits and bites are agnostic of time, device, etc. If I remember what I read years ago correctly, the author was Paris Karahalios. He must have been some genius.

Hey, I told you I was no expert. I just posted some info on the Pareto that I found on a web site. Maybe others here can answer your questions.

Pareto's Principle

I saw the reference to Pareto's principle and was not familiar with it, so I looked it up. It makes so much sense! I looked around for more information and I found this fairly concise description on a management web site. I thought it was really clear and wanted to share with others here. Hope other...

Re: Agile Triangle, what is it?

Bill, although I think what you posted is a good visual of the Agile process, I think when people talk about the agile triangle they are usually referring to something like this, below, I think. That's why I started by saying I am no expert :-) However, I'm glad you though that what I posted was al...

I am no agile expert (I actually am not a firm believer), but in quickly googling it, here is what I came up with. I hope that's what you were looking for.

Re: Waterfall or Scrum? And why?

Derek, aren't you just taking the easy way out of blaming the team instead of admitting that Agile may not be the "perfect" solution? I don't claim to be an Agile believer, but I have also heard the horror stories of Agile being the VB of developers, i.e., allowing lousy code and allowing ...

Re: As-Easy-As in Wikipedia!!!

Yes, I remember the program being very well known and being written up in all mainstream computer magazines of the day. I don't know what happened to it afterwards. May be a law suit from Lotus, who was suing every compatible spreadsheet at the time ?? I think there were also a couple of books writt...

Re: DCWin on Win7

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Both Librecad and Draftsight are superb products and after laying with them for only a few minutes, I prefer Librecad because it has all the features I want and almost the simplicity of DCwin.

Thanks, again!
