Re: No posts about other nuclear forms, like fusion!

Any links to the other types of fusion work you mention in your post?

I'd be very interested in seeing some, if you have them.

No posts about other nuclear forms, like fusion!

I see all sorts of posts, uploads, etc. regarding nuclear energy, but all of them deal with conventional light water reactors, even if some posts are about the next generation AP1000 technology. I have not seen any posts about other, safer and more promising types of nuclear energy, like fusion! Is ...

Re: Scilab 5.4.0

I got the distribution version and it is a real improvement in most respects. However, it does appear to be a bit slower. I haven't done any actual times comparisons, but that's my perception. Anyone else feels the same?

Can't search

Any reason why I can't search the forums? No matter what word(s) I specify I am told the words are too common an it doesn't work!

Re: How about Solar Energy?

I, for one, am definitely interested - if you have more interesting documents on solar power, please share them with us here!

And, I would also be interested in Wind power, etc. Anything about energy.

Re: Point Kernel Shielding

Is point kernel still being used, even though there are so many better methods available? I would have thought they gave up on point kernel a long time ago.

Re: Emergency Preparedness Guides

Do these help? Like you said, there is a lot out there on the web, bit "a lot" doesn't always translate to "useful" :-) BTW, what sort of interest project are you going to use these on?

A couple of more Radiation-Health Papers

We should talk to the moderator to gather these downloads in a convenient library, so one can browse them all. It's hard to find them as attachments to various messages. Hey. moderator, are you listening? :-)

Low Radiation May Not Be as Harmful

I just happened to see this article (it's about a month old). http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2011-12/dbnl-nto122011.php If the findings in this report are true, it may change the way the public looks at radiation danger and eventually nuclear power. It really would undo the LNT theory that h...
