Don't get all bent out of shape. I did read it and saw the info in there. I was asking if there is a better, more detailed and complete reference.

Re: Info About Cosmic Radiation ?

Helen22 wrote: Sat May 05, 2018 4:21 am It also says, "The ED rate at an altitude of 8 km (26,000ft) in temperate latitudes is typically up to about 3 microSv per hour (1000 microSv = 1 mSv), but near the equator only about 1 to 1.5 microSv per hour."
How does that compare with radiation from other sources?

You guys are unbelievable! You will not lend credence to anything that doesn't line up with your beliefs, but will blindly believe anything that does!

Re: Scilab exponential interpolation

Howard, I think you are way off in your thinking. I don't know who told you that interpolation only has to be simple, or only linear, or... but whoever it was, they were lying to you The complexity, accuracy, etc. of the interpolation is only limited by the knowledge of the user regarding the proce...

Re: Scilab exponential interpolation

I think you guys are all, or most, confused. Interpolation is a simple method to find a value of a functions where the x is between two x-values for which you already know the function value. Why are you confusing it with exponential and logarithmic and all this other things?

That's not exponential, it's clearly a straight line!

Stolen radioactive material - mexico

He, has anyone been following the story about the stolen radioactive material in Mexico?

I guess this happens more often that we think. Does that material present a danger in terms of nuclear weapons?

Re: Environment - Role of Nuclear Power

It all sounds good, but the devil is in the details, or better, it's in what people are not being told.

Now, I took the time to download and read what you uploaded (thank you). Let's see if you will do the same with the PANW letter below and see if you have any comments.

Re: Radiation still high in CA

Of course. People here don't want to hear any opposing views. Why would they pay attention to me? I received multiple messages from the moderator that other users are complaining and I have to verify any information I post. Really? Why, does everyone here independently verify any information *they* ...

I know that you people here discount all these reports, but there are too many to just be coincidence. Take a look here. Who knows what's next :-(

Re: Has Fukushima's radioactive wave already hit California?

So, Gradphys, why are your sources better than my sources? I don't get it? To me it's fairly simple. There are some scientists that think "A" is true. There is another group of scientists that think "A" is false. I agree with the "first" group while you agree with the &...
