Re: SCILAB 5.3.3

Well, since the moderator didn't think a new forum was a good idea :-) I hope starting a new thread about this is O.K. I just got the latest Windows build of SCILAB 5.3.3 I know that it will take me years to learn how to use most of its features (not all of them), but I strongly recommend everyone ...

Re: What development language?

Sorry to jump in here and I don't claim to be as smart as you guys, but isn't it usually that you get what you pay for? How can the free product scilab be as good as the very expensive product MATLAB? Something doesn't sound right. Or is it me? Also, I thought that languages like Cobol, Fortran, Alg...

Re: AS-EASY-AS for Windows - Free!

It's working now. I was able to install it and all is fine. I had tried multiple times in the past and couldn't do it - go figure.

Technical Documents...

I don't know if this is what people are talking about, when they refer to worked out examples, but I had gotten the links to these documents for ASEASY years ago. Hopefully they are still active and they have some of what people have been asking for. Linear Programming Examples - http://www.triusinc...

Re: Aseasy for Win and Windows 7

Well, I'll be darned! I just tried it again and it installed and runs fine. I really have no idea what I did different, if anything, but it seems to run fine now. Really spooky :-(

Aseasy for Win and Windows 7

I was using the windows version of aseasy for years, with win 95, 98, XP and Vista. But, when I updated to Windows 7, I couldn't even install the program. Does anyone here know if there is a way to install and run the program in Windows 7?

Re: AS-EASY-AS for Windows - Free!

I was using their aseasy program up until I switched to Windows 7. I wasn't able to make it run under that. Too bad, because I had many years of my accounting in it. If can ever find out how I can run it in Win 7, I'll go back in a heartbeat.

Re: Energy Technology

Yeah, I was real good friends with one of the owners, too, Dave. I don't think any of the original people are there any longer, but I believe that all the principles came from some sort of engineering or science background, not your typical IT or computer science training. Then, they also broke off ...
