Take a look here to see why that would turn the Japanese nuclear industry on its head!

Re: How about these Reports on Nuclear?
That's why the report is one-sided. It starts with a pre-conceived notion and then does whatever it can to prove it. Wait, don't all reports work like that? Do you really think that researchers start writing a report thinking "Wherever it takes us"? Let's really talk about the substance o...

UCS Report about the NRC not doing a good job
Does anyone care to comment on the Union of Concerned Scientist's accusations in the attached document? I would really like to hear your views.

All the planning in the work doesn't help. It's "execution" that gets things done!

Re: Lunar Base Radiation Shielding Design Report
Let's worry about designing effective shielding and controls for "earthbound" radiation sources and then we can worry about the moon and other places.

Re: Ignition Failed - Fusion
If the government (and industry) were spending as much money on fusion as they have been spending on the dirtier fission nukes, fusion may have had a chance.

Re: How about these Reports on Nuclear?
Why do you think their conclusions are one-sided? That's exactly what I'm talking about! Would you care telling the rest of us here what makes you think their conclusions are such? We can then possibly have a conversation about it, which is not what usually happens (you know... I'm right and you don...

How about these Reports on Nuclear?
Since everyone here keeps uploading files that treat Nuclear Favorably, I figured that some documents to balance the discussion may be in order. How about these two?
Pretty interesting, if you ask me. If you don't agree, let's discuss them. I am all ears!

Re: Other countries more progressive than US
Oh really? So, should we model the US nuclear policy after what Hungary is doing? Are you serious? There was good reason that the US repository in NV was cancelled. There should be more focus on safer technologies and having such a facility would have just encouraged more spent fuel to be produced -...

Re: WHO Fukushima Health Effects Report
Still, a 70% increase of anything is still a 70% increase, no matter how you look at it, and it cannot be considered minor or trivial. I have read through a good part of the report and what strikes me is the uncertainty of all those measurements :-( I would have thought that after all these years th...

Re: Chernobyl roof caves from snow!
Your response did not address the issue! The fact is that 25+ years after the accident Chernobyl still makes the news and is still reason for concern. That's the issue and not whether I, or someone else, wants to talk about it!

Fukushima people suffering
I know some posters here believe that I find excuses to post anti-nuclear info, but I have nothing against nuclear power. However, that doesn't mean I will ignore the dangers associated with it! In particular where some (many?) are trying to make it sound that there is no danger! Take a look at thes...

Russian Meteor fell near nuclear facilities
I read that the meteor that fell in Russia yesterday, fell near a number of nuclear installations. I wonder if there was any damage to them and if radiation may have been released to the environment. Anyone know?
