Re: Fukushime didn't stop nuclear growth
Howard, I looked at the links you posted. Interesting, but I haven't found any scientific, peer-reviewed study with similar results. If you have any such references you wish to share with us, I'll gladly take a closer look.

Nuclear Resurgence in the US ?
Well, with 4 new plants already licensed and given the go ahead for construction in the last couple of months, is this the turn-around point for the nuclear industry in the US? I think so! I believe there will be more applications and new licenses issued by the end of the year. Many of us thought th...

Re: European Union Nuclear Stress Test
4 Mb has been fine, but I tried to attach/upload some additional files, and unfortunately they were larger than 4 Mb, so I wasn't able to. Is that the largest size you could allow, or could you increase it more?

Some more IAEA reports
I saw that some users here downloaded the IAEA reports I had posted, so I thought I'd post some more, just in case there is interest. BTW, I am looking for information on Cs soil decontamination. If anyone has any information, studies, reports, etc. could they please post them here, or send them to ...

Re: Fukushima - End of US Nuclear Power renaissance?
The approval of the the two plants in GA yesterday, may re-spark the Nuclear Power renaissance. The first new licenses to be given in the US since about 1978! And, the chairman of the commissioners, Jaczko, voting NO. What a political hack

Germany Restarts Reactors...
I read this article and sort of chuckled, because it demonstrated what happens when decision are made in the vacuum, without proper consideration of all related factors. The "political" decision to abandon all nuclear power and shut down all reactors was made based on political reasons and...

Re: Low Radiation Still Harmfull
I know that someone posted some report about low radiation not being too harmful, but there are other studies that concluded otherwise. Take a look at this one. Hard to see how this report relates to the one about the new research on low levels of radiation! Also, remember that the end of the day, ...

Low Radiation may not be as harmful... So ?
Will New Research Lead in Revision of Conclusions? For example, I wonder how (or if) the figures in the table on page 185 of the "Chernobyl - Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment", New York Academy of Sciences, Vol 1181 (see below) would change in view of some of ...

Re: More Fukushima Cs in Europe
I am not saying that I don't believe this, but in this age of misinformation proliferation we all need to be a bit more careful and not always take things at face value. There may be increased levels of Cs detected in Europe, but I'd rather see some more (independent ?) evidence and data as to the l...

EU Nuclear Stress Test Files - Part2
I contacted the forums moderator and they increased the file-size-limit for attachments, so here are more of the PDF files for the EU Nuclear Stress Test following the Fukushima accident. They were made available on Dec 30, 2011. Hopefully, others here will find them interesting.
