Re: Earthquake real cause of Fukushima nuclear accident
This is an "old" article by a self-professed science reporter and has been discussed ad nauseum in many on-line forums. Why are you bringing it up again? It looks to me like you are trolling big time

Re: Energy Summary Document ?
Not sure exactly what "document" you'd be looking for, but I have attached a PDF from a workshop that answers at least "some" of your questions. Here is also a URL that may have some useful comparative information for you, http://nuclearinfo.net/Nuclearpower/WebHomeComparisonOfEn...

Re: How about these Reports on Nuclear?
Why do you think their conclusions are one-sided? Because all such industries are subsidized in some way shape or form, but the report singles out Nuclear as if it is somehow the only one. Do you think that the solar energy is subsidized? Have you heard of the solar energy companies that went bankr...

Is there any additional information, documents, reports, etc. on the Thorium cycle, you might want to share with us, Helen22? Phil_Jion, there is tons of Thorium information out there. And there are so many aspect in the Thorium fuel cycle that I am not really sure what it is that you are looking f...

Re: Other countries more progressive than US
Phil_Jion, Hungary may be the latest addition, and I don't know about spent fuel, but there are low level waste repositories operating, or under construction, in Spain, The UK, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Japan, France, India, Bulgaria, Belgium and other countries. SO, Hungary is not teh first to con...

Re: Some PRA Info
All good stuff, Pleonat. I just wanted to jump in and say that all these documents are great, but one has to always remember that in order to be a good PRA analyst, they have to have a good, global system understanding, so that they can determine how components interact, etc. There are lots of codes...

Thanks for posting the documents. Although the accident at Fukushima seems to have happened eons ago, we still have a lot to learn about it. These reports are very informative!

Re: Russian Meteor fell near nuclear facilities
Helen, Howard may have an "anti-nuclear" sentiment in his posts, but it's O.K. to question things and ask questions. Fedya, you may be right that it's O.K. for him to do that, but it's just that he always has something negative to post about nuclear, regardless what the specific subject i...

Re: Explaining the nuclear units ?
Any descent book on radiation or health physics would have that information. Also, you may want to take a look at the document posted a while ago here,
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=138
Which explains some of these concepts and units in simple terms.
