Is Delphi XE7 a good platform?

Sorry if this has bee discussed here before, I am new to this board.

I am wondering if Delphi XE7 is a good platform to start developing cross-platform products. I am a bit familiar with Delphi and it would be easier for me, but I don't want to go down that road only to find out I wasted my time and effort.

If Not Delphi XE7, can someone suggest another cross platform development product?

Thanks

The best platform is the one you are most comfortable and most familiar with, unless you are doing some very specialized development that is only supported by a specific platform.
