It is indeed an interesting report. I just read, a couple of days ago, that the Fusion research effort at MIT (one of the few still going on) will be probably be cancelled because of lack of funding. If that's true, it would be horrible. We went from leading the world in fusion research to not even funding some of our premier institutions to continue their research :-(
